what is wise minded wellness

WHAT is Wise Mindedness?

It is described as: “Being able to go deep within and intuitively know the most effective course of action to pursue… and to realize it is found experientially”. Additionally, a “wise mind is said to always be present” although “one does not always access it. It is best uncovered by practicing mindfulness” and discovering “the What and the How.”

WHY a Holistic, Integrative and Functional Medicine Approach?

I believe this triad is best suited for individualized care of patients with chronic urologic issues, since the focus is on the person as a whole. Recognizing the importance of how the entire body can be affected is key, as well as uncovering the “root cause”.

The intent to improve health is with thorough, individualized care that utilizes multi-modal treatments to optimize your plan of care. The following may be used in combination as needed:

  • Traditional medical treatments from specialty providers: Urologists, OB/GYN’s, Primary Care Providers (PCP’s), Etc…
  • Pelvic floor physical therapy: Therapists dedicated/trained for everything pelvic floor
  • Health/Wellness Coaching and/or Psychological Counseling: Professionals to help guide you through current or past fears, trauma, pain
  • Nutritional and lifestyle modifications
  • Chiropractic care, massage, yoga, acupuncture/acupressure, breath work, etc…

The best outcomes for chronic pelvic pain patients often utilize a team approach, with YOU at the center of your own care. Working together to understand your specific concerns and goals, will allow us to develop a specialized plan of care with the goal of overall health, healing, balance and restored/improved pelvic health and wellness.

why choose wise minded wellness

WHY Choose Wise Minded Wellness?

I am dedicated to compassionate, exemplary patient-centered care, and have extensive experience with chronic pelvic pain patients (men and women). Taking TIME to listen and understand YOUR Story (current symptoms, patterns, chronicity, and the impact on your life) is the most important first step. Secondly, it is imperative to EDUCATE, EDUCATE and EDUCATE you on your condition, current symptoms, diagnoses, various treatment options, dietary modifications, nutrition, supplementation and lifestyle options.

Education is essential – the more you know, the better you will be able to help yourself!
